We have until July 10th to submit a public comment to save 27 national monuments. (You can find talking points here).
But there is more than one way to fight for our public lands. In this action, we demand our Senators step up to fight to keep national monuments protected.
EMAIL: Contact forms for Senators HERE, for your representatives HERE. Write, in your own words, why you want our national monuments to remain intact or copy and paste the following:
I write because I am extremely concerned by the Executive Order to "review" 27 different national monuments. These lands belong to the American people and were only designated as monuments after thorough and thoughtful review and public input. National monuments create healthy economies in the gateway communities and provide critical habitat for wildlife. Please do what you can to keep these important lands.
TWEET: Tweet sheet is HERE.
CALL: Find your Senators' phone numbers HERE and your Representative's phone numbers HERE. It is best to call one of the local offices, rather than the DC office. Tell the staff member who answers that you want your legislator to oppose all efforts to reduce or downsize our national monuments.
FACEBOOK MESSAGES: Find your Senator's Facebook page HERE. Google your Representative's Facebook page. Leave a comment to an existing article saying the following:
Please work to keep our national monuments intact and protected.
