CALL TO ACTION: Exxon's CEO Should NOT Be Secretary of State

PHONE CALLS: Find your Senators' phone numbers HERE. It is best to call one of the local offices, rather than the DC office. If possible, offer a personal reason why you object to Tillerson's appointment. If you feel uncomfortable with that simply say:

Dem Senators: Please oppose Rex Tillerson for Secretary of State. We cannot have the former CEO of Exxon as our Secretary of State. 

GOP Senators: Please oppose Rex Tillerson for Secretary of State. I am concerned about his ties to Russia.

The CEO of Exxon has no business becoming our Secretary of State. Exxon has allied itself with authoritarian regimes to stay afloat, has funded climate change denial for decades and will not support real climate action. Please vote NO at Rex Tillerson's confirmation hearing.

Rex Tillerson is not the right person to be our Secretary of State. He has a close relationship with Russia and was awarded the Russian's Order of Friendship. Further, Mr. Tillerson opposed sanctions against Russia. Given Russian interference with the election and cyber attack, we cannot have a friend of Putin's as our Secretary of State. Please vote NO at Rex Tillerson's confirmation hearing.
